HCC Partners for Jobs: Retrain, Reinvent, Re-enter recognized nationally

The ground-breaking five-part series, HCC Partners for Jobs: Retrain, Reinvent, Re-enter, has won National Ava Awards in several categories from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.

The video series, HCC Partners for Jobs: Retrain, Reinvent, Re-enter, won the Platinum Award for On-Camera Talent and Use of Graphics and Design, the Gold award for Information Program and an Honorable Mention for writing.

The Ava Awards recognize outstanding work by creative professional involved in the development and production of audio-video materials and programs for a variety of mediums. Entrants include production companies, web developers, advertising agencies and PR firms, as well as corporate, government and education communication departments. Approximately 1,700 entries from across the United States and several foreign countries competed in the 2009 Ava Awards.

Houston Community College and community leaders are bringing together leading Houston-area employers and organizations in a grass-roots effort to help Houstonians get the training and education they need that will lead to jobs.

The purpose of this pioneering collaboration is to increase awareness of the training opportunities that HCC provides.
